  • What to Expect After Booking a Service

    Once a service is booked, someone from the Mr. Star dispatch team will contact you to confirm the appointment. Once your appointment day, time and details are confirmed, you will get a summary text message confirming your booking.

    Mr. Star will notify you by text message once your technician is on his/her way to your location. Once your technician arrives, all you’ll have to do is sit back, relax and leave the rest to us.

  • How Soon Can I Schedule a Technician?

    The technology behind our platform allows us to quickly match Mr. Star technicians in your area with your job. We accept same day appointments for most of our services; however, scheduling ultimately depends on the availability of our technicians and your requested appointment time.

  • How do I Know If The Technician Is On The Way?

    Mr. Star dispatch center will contact you either by text message or call to give you an estimated arrival time. Our technicians are punctual so expect them to be on time. 

  • Do I Need To Give The Technician Access To My Home?

    For services such as TV Mounting and Smart Home installation, you will have to give our technicians access to your home. For other services such as mobile repair, our technicians will happily meet you at a location convenient for you such a coffee shop, office or any other suitable public place.

  • How Does Mr. Star Charge For Services?

    You only pay after the job is done. You have the option of paying in person or online to secure your appointment. We will never charge your credit card before the service is completed. We accept all major debit and credit cards, Interact E-Transfer, Cash and Cheque.

  • How Do I Know If Mr. Star Supports My Phone Model?

    Mr. Star provides repair services for Apple iPhone 6, iPhone 6+, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s+, iPhone 7, iPhone 7+, iPhone 8, iPhone 8+ and iPhone X (Coming Soon) models. We are continuously adding other makes and models to the list of supported devices.

  • How Long Does It Take To Repair a Mobile Phone?

    Phone repairs usually take about 1 hour or less.

  • What If I Booked An Appointment But My Device Cannot Be Fixed?

    All of Mr. Star Phone Repair services are listed in the booking page. If your device has an issue that cannot be fixed, you will only be charged the diagnostic fee of $49.99 for the technician’s visit.

  • What Happens If I Damage My Phone or Phone Screen Again?

    The Mr. Star Warranty does not cover future accidental damages or any unrelated damages occurring after your service. For instance, if your damage your phone screen again, please book a new appointment and we’ll gladly come and fix your device.

  • What Is The Mr. Star Phone Repair Warranty?

    Mr. Star uses top OEM quality components for all repairs. We stand behind all of our products and services. Please refer to our Warranty Policy page for more detailed information.

  • What Brand of TV Do You Support?

    Our expert technicians can install all brands of TV, including the following: Samsung, LG, Panasonic, Sony, Insignia, Sharp, Vizio, RCA, Toshiba, Hisense, Philips, TCL and more.

  • What Size of TV Do You Support?

    Mr. Star technicians can install any size of TV. Our heavy duty mounting brackets support all screen sizes.

  • What Type of Wall Surface Do You Support?

    Mr. Star technicians are experienced at installing TVs on all types of wall, including drywall, concrete, brick, stone, marble and more. There might be additional charges for certain wall types as technicians are required to use special equipment to safely and securely mount your TV. You will be notified of all charges before the job starts.

  • Do I need a TV Mounting Bracket?

    You definitely need a suitable TV mounting bracket. If you are using your own mount, you got to make sure it supports the size and weight of your TV.

    If you don’t have a TV mounting bracket, we make it easy to purchase one. Just let us know which type you prefer and our technician will bring a brand new bracket to your appointment. Our TV Mounting prices do not include the cost of the bracket.

  • What Types of TV Mounting Bracket Do You Provide?

    Mr. Star offers 3 different types of mounting brackets. For more information, read our Ultimate Guide to Choose the Right TV Mounting Bracket:

    • Fixed TV Wall Mount: This type of mounting bracket holds the television flush against the wall in a very snug manner.
    • Tilting TV Wall Mount: This type of mount allows you to angle the display downwards by about 15 degrees.
    • Full Motion TV Wall Mount: With this type of mount you can move your television away or towards the wall, angle it from side to side, and tilt it both up and down.

  • What If I Want to Hide My Wires?

    Mr. Star offers wire concealment services. There are 2 types of concealment services:

    1. In-Wall Concealment: If your wall setup permits, our technicians can hide all your device wires (HDMI, Audio and etc.) inside the wall to give you a clean, clutter-free look. Customers ordering in-wall power cable concealment services are reliable for all liabilities.
    2. Over-The-Wall Concealment: This wire hiding service is done by using wire concealment conduits (tubes). Conduits can generally conceal up to 4 different wires.

  • How Long Does It Take To Mount a TV?

    On average, it takes about 1 hour to complete a basic TV mounting job. The duration of installation varies by the size of TV, type of wall surface and additional services such as wire concealment and etc.
